Women in AI Governance (WiAIG) is committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring that your information is handled with care, transparency, and respect. This Privacy Notice explains how we process your personal data as a website visitor, event attendee, or prospective member engaging with WiAIG.

Data Collected and Use

Communications

If you contact us through our website or sign up for the WiAIG newsletter or other marketing materials, we will collect your name and email address in order to communicate with you.  

Events Coordination

If you sign up for an in-person or online event, we collect your name, email address, phone number, organizational affiliation, title, and when necessary payment information. We need this information in order to track interest and plan for events.

Photography

We also take photographs of attendees at events, which we may feature on our website or marketing materials. However, we won’t use photographs unless we have your consent. 

 

Site Functionality

 The WiAIG website collects some information automatically for purposes of ensuring overall site security and proper functionality, and to provide members with access to certain benefits and services. This information may include your IP address, general geographic location, and details about how you use the site. 

Retention Periods

We retain information for the duration of our relationship with you or as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice. For website visitors, IP addresses and site usage data are retained for 90 days to ensure site functionality and security.
